Vit-Buckle Academy is a web-based educational portal for vitreoretinal surgery. It is an educational initiative of the Vit-Buckle Society (VBS) designed for established and training vitreoretinal surgeons. The portal includes curated and concise text coupled with high quality figures and narrated videos that highlight key principles of vitreoretinal surgery in a step-wise curriculum.
The editors of Vit-Buckle Academy are Mrinali Gupta, MD (Retina Associates of Orange County; VBS Executive Committee) and Yoshihiro Yonekawa, MD (Wills Eye Hospital, Mid Atlantic Retina; VBS Executive Committee) and content is created by Drs. Gupta and Yonekawa, along with VBS Education Committee members Drs. Kyle Kovacs (Weill Cornell Medical College), Karen Jeng-Miller (UMass Eye Center), Max Stem (Pennsylvania Retina Specialists), Prethy Rao (Retina & Vitreous of Texas), and Nicolas Yannuzzi (Bascom Palmer Eye Institute).
