What are the pigmented lesions?

Submitted by Akshay Thomas, MD, MS, FASRS | Tennessee Retina

Case

A 43 year-old African-American patient was referred for evaluation of choroidal nevi in the right eye. What does she actually have?

Diagnosis

Fundus depigmentation/sunset glow fundus secondary to chronic VKH disease. The areas resembling choroidal nevi are the only areas without fundus depigmentation
